Former pro skater Mikey Taylor joins Brett to talk about his very successful skating career that was over quite quickly, when his contract with DC Shoes ended way before he expected. He was planning on retiring anyhow, but it occurred much sooner then he anticipated.
Instead of panicking, he had fortunately planned for the financial aspect of retiring but had no real idea of what was to come next.
Today, he shares his story, lessons learned, his approach to seeking out a mentor, and advice to young athletes to plan ahead.
He also talks about his new company Commune Capitol, responsible real estate investing, and how everyone involved can come out on top.
